[Lies of P] Played for about 8 hours.

I’m the type who really hates games that startle me because of my weak heart, and I hate both games that make me constantly nervous and games where I can lose everything I’ve collected. So souls-like games just don’t work for me. That’s why even though Bloodborne was famous, I tried it but ended up not being able to play it because it wasn’t my style.

But maybe it’s because I had so much fun with Nioh 2? When Elden Ring came out, I pre-ordered it even though it was obvious it wouldn’t be my style. I thought “I’m going to waste another about $60,” but I ended up having a blast with it. I had so much fun that I even did a second playthrough to explore parts I missed the first time.

So I thought, “Oh, souls-like games are actually more fun than I expected!! I should try more souls-like games in the future!!” But…

I tried playing Bloodborne again, but… maybe because I had played Elden Ring, I adapted quite well this time and managed okay… but that gloomy atmosphere… the inconvenience of not being able to move freely… I eventually gave up.

Next, I bought Dark Souls 3. I heard Gundyr was a “refund boss,” so I got past him on my second try with a ranged mage… but then I got lost… ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I had no idea where to go or what to do, so I gave up again.

Still not giving up, I bought Steelrising and tried it. I definitely thought it looked good when I played the demo, but for some reason… it was incredibly boring… Another failed attempt at souls-like games.

This time I bought Lies of P.

Of course, beating the first boss by poking it with a crappy weapon was fun! And wow, this is a Korean-made game, but it’s really awesome!

(Though I’ve seen these scenes somewhere before) The graphics are freaking awesome!!

 A few hours later—

 Why… is this boring…? I mean, they clearly copied Elden Ring brilliantly with Korean-style graphics, but… it’s boring… what’s going on…?

Eventually, after playing for about 8 hours over a week, when real life got busy, I thought “I’ll play this later” and forgot about it. I can’t be bothered to turn it on again…
