I played for a whopping 9 hours. Today I was determined to take down Nergigante ㅋㅋ
Earplugs & Bazelgeuse Gem
I remember before when the skull icon didn’t show up,
I tried to capture a sleeping monster by setting a trap, but I got fooled(?).
So this time I just fired a dragon piercer first and ended up killing it…
Well, if you’re not going to give me a gem, then so be it
Whatever, off to hunt Nergigante!
First attempt
I looked up a guide and it said I need to destroy the spikes, but I don’t really know how to do it.
I try to focus on one spot persistently, but it doesn’t work well and it turns black quickly.
Even when the spikes look like they’re breaking,
the instant kill attacks still come flying… and I’m too busy dodging anyway…
Failed. But I came back after upgrading some gear,
so at least my damage isn’t showing single digits like last time.

Third attempt
I’m completely giving up on fashion and going with Earplugs…!
This was the first time I actually used everything I had – Demondrug, Dash Juice, Mega Armorskin
and managed to take down Nergigante
Nergigante one more time!
I watched from a distance and they just kept roaring at each other without actually fighting.
I was like “what’s going on?” so I got closer,
and only then did they start fighting. An ego battle…?
I got carted 3 times in Nergigante’s nest twice,
and on the third attempt I lured him out of the nest and finally took him down.
I was determined to kill this thing no matter what, so I kept going until 4 AM…
The Damasc armor looked awesome so I went back to get Elder Dragon Blood, but it wouldn’t drop…

I didn’t notice while hunting since I was focused on the health bar,
but looking at the saved video, the movement was very unnatural.
It probably would have been a jumping attack motion…

I was positioning myself to fire a dragon piercer, when Nerg suddenly jumped up.
Can the AI even hear me rustling around next to it…!
