First Attempt
Elder Dragons don’t seem to get caught in shock traps.
I was trying to lure it and ended up getting hit and stunned,
but if this were Nergigante, I would’ve already been smacked by its front claws.
Teostra was being… merciful(?)
What was Teostra trying to attack?
Maybe it’s because I’m wearing the Barnos Jacket,
but I don’t take any damage from flames as long as I don’t get hit at close range
Compared to Nergigante, this is about 6 times easier,
but I was messing around and panicked when I couldn’t dodge that instant-kill attack and died…
I was firing charge shots right next to it when it suddenly rose up, and I panicked.
I should have run but instead I stupidly did a charge step and died ㅋㅋㅋ
So I decided to upgrade my Barnos Jacket while I’m at it and come back.
Second Attempt
It took a long time because my arrows kept bouncing off and couldn’t deal much damage… Since its instant-kill attack is cast from a stationary position, I never got hit by it as a bow user, and it doesn’t jump toward me very often, so it was comfortable in that way. But when it wraps itself in flames, I can only damage its horns, which made it an annoying Elder Dragon. Nergigante was so difficult that other Elder Dragons feel kind of like pushovers… And it was the most awesome-looking monster I’ve encountered in Monster Hunter. Even though it’s an Elder Dragon, it felt weaker than even Bazelgeuse.

It was weaker than Nergigante and even gave me 2 Elder Dragon Blood – what a good guy…!
